Declaration of Conformity Dechlorane Plus

To comply with a request by the Japanese government Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry
(METI), Monroe EFI continues to poll suppliers to determine the presence and the use of Dechlorane plus C.A.S. No 13560-89-9 in any material or part supplied to our customers. Dechlorane plus is of concern to the Japanese government due to it being found in market fish.

This chemical is used as a flame retardant in plastics for electronics and in coatings for wires and cables. Both Japan and the European Union are working on risk profiles and will launch public consultation in 2020. This chemical is considered a persistent organic pollutant (POP) of which many governments are working to eliminate or provide strict restrictions regarding use.

Dechlorane plus is identified as an SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern) on the European Union REACH Authorization list.
Monroe EFI certifies, to the best of its knowledge, products comply with the restrictions of Dechlorane plus. We will continue to work with our suppliers to identify any potential use of materials as specified in the various global regulations and directives and ensure this compliance statement remains accurate. We reserve the right to amend this statement at any time based on subsequent developments or information.
