Proposition 65

California Proposition 65, also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, has been in effect since 1986. Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. If the company is a providing a material, part, or assembly that is added to a customer’s product, the company must provide information regarding California Prop65 compliance to its business-to-business customers.

Chemicals included on the Proposition 65 list are those that are known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Proposition 65 does not ban the use of any chemicals but is intended to ensure the public is informed as to its exposure to Listed Chemicals.

The list of the 900+ Prop 65 chemicals can be found at: www.oehha.ca.gov. This list is periodically updated with new chemicals and new evaluations. We are currently working with our supply chain to assess the August 11, 2023, updates to the list.

Safe Harbor levels for these chemicals expired August 30, 2018, which results in more products requiring labels. The new revision also requires a specific chemical and hazard to be noted. This label does not mean the chemicals are airborne or not encapsulated, thus limiting the likelihood of exposure. These warnings may be found on individual website specification sheets and packing lists.

We are working with our suppliers to determine which products may or may not contain Prop 65 chemicals. We are also working with them to eliminate or reduce the chemicals of concern to levels for below safe thresholds.

Monroe EFI LLC certifies, to the best of its knowledge our products comply with California Prop65. We will continue to work with our suppliers to identify any potential use of materials as specified in the Directives and ensure this compliance statement remains accurate. We reserve the right to amend this statement at any time based on subsequent developments or information.
